○先日聞いた話ですが、「百貨店業界では、リーマンショックは2回あった」んだそうです。この話、講演などで使うと受けるんですよ。

○昨年前半、投資銀行業界はそろそろヤバイという感じになった頃に、「月にカードで500万円以上お買い上げになる」ような超得意先の動きが、パタリと止まったのだそうです。つまり「われわれの想像力が及ばないようなおカネ持ち」が、最初に逃げ出した。おそらくはご自分で来店することはなく、外商さんがご自宅をお訪ねするような客層なのでしょう。

○その後に、普通のリーマンショックが来た。つまり中小企業のオーナーに医者、弁護士といった「われわれの想像力の範囲内のおカネ持ち」が店内から消えた。おそらくは運転手つきのクルマでご来店されるような客層なのでしょう。

○2つのリーマンショックの後に、さらなるショックが百貨店に追い討ちをかけた。それが「H&Mショック」である。これでとうとう、普通の人も百貨店から消えてしまった。
